As dogs mature and learn to behave on a leash, some dogs still require harnesses. In particular, it is well-advised for owners of larger dogs who may be naturally aggressive or territorial to have a quick control harness available. These harnesses are very comfortable when worn and easy to use and wear for the use. When either a stranger comes to the door and the dog decides to take off, or when you are out walking the dog on a leash, these harnesses are immensely valuable for being able to control the dog at all times. Given the strength of the dog, a regular leash may be impractical since the dog will be able to drag you or you may end up hurting the dog due to the choking around the neck from the strain. Using a proper harness, both of these situations are negated by instead having the proper set-up of the harness around the chest and front legs, allowing you to maintain control over stronger dogs at all times. For smaller dogs, these harnesses can look downright cute on them, and they are also a great way of avoiding choking through the use of choke-free harnesses.
